We were immediately drawn to La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe by their name. In the middle of a busy life, la Madeleine is a little piece of France you can call your own. They offer country fare, espresso & freshly-baked baguettes that we so happily enjoyed. Sit and sip quietly by the fireplace or choose the patio and experience one of the highest forms of French culture: the art of conversation. We couldn’t resist trying a baguette, and we’re glad we did!

If you ‘re looking for that small-town cafe where the food is just like mama used to make, look no further, Court house Cafe, is that place! Comfort food, and superb coffee, served by friends even if you don’t know them. You have to come before 11 am sometimes and do breakfast, but we’re willing to look past that, though, because the food and coffee are top-notch.

Brooklyn Pie & Cafe
If you’re a big fan of pizza then you’ll love this place! It’s definitely worth a trip there if you’re a fan of crafty coffee pairings. Our visit there was a great experience, and we recommend stopping by for a coffee and a sandwich when you get the chance.

Dick’s Uptown Cafe
Branded by the saying “where locals meet,” Dick’s Uptown Cafe employs a simple logic: make amazing, fresh food, and keep good company while doing so. They serve Counter Culture coffee, and the cappuccino we had was made to perfection. Each drink in this section had something unique about it, including all-day breakfast & rotating homemade desserts, which makes for a great experience you can’t get anywhere else.
